Triaging

» Glossary » Triaging

In software development, triaging means the process of revision and prioritization of bugs.

The term triage was born in the 1st world war, by French doctors who were taking care of the wounded at the front lines. Triaging is the process by which the priority of patients was determined based on its condition, in an environment where the resources were not enough to take care of them all immediately. It is still in use in medicine, mainly in the urgency section of hospitals.
